On the morning of January 12, the cooperation meeting between International College（IC）of  Xiamen University and New York Film Academy (NYFA) was successfully held in the form of an online Tencent meeting. Zhu Yuhua, Vice President of New York Film Academy, Yu Zixi, Deputy Director of the China Office of NYFA, and relevant leaders, Gao Xing, Consul of the Consulate General of China in New York, Professor Tao Tao, Dean of IC of Xiamen University, Chen Xiangliu, Deputy Dean of IC, Wang Roujie, Leader of the English Teaching and Research Group of IC, Zeng Shufan, Leader of the Art Teaching and Research Group of IC, and relevant staff attended the meeting.

Ms Wang first introduced the history of Xiamen University, the development of IC, the program of studying abroad, and the teaching staff to the participants.

MS. Zeng, in combination with running of the Art Design program, introduced to the participants the major settings, the cooperative colleges, students' academic and career development, and other relevant information.

After getting familiar with International College and the art design major, Yu Zixi, the deputy director of the China Office of NYFA, introduced the current development of NYFA to the participants from the aspects of its development history, campuses, teaching staff, degree and major settings, outstanding alumni at home and abroad, and student employment.

After listening to the introductions from both sides, Zhu Yuhua, Vice President of NYFA, fully affirmed the achievements made by IC in introducing high-quality foreign educational resources and cultivating international talents over a long period of time, and expressed her sincere thanks to Consul Gao Xing for his great support and assistance in promoting the cooperation between both sides. In combination with the philosophy and development history of NYFA, she pointed out that NYFA not only focuses on practice and innovation, but also regards China as a key cooperative country and partner with a global perspective. It has a diverse students and has cultivated thousands of Chinese students over the past decade, establishing a good foundation for cooperation with Chinese institutions. She said that NYFA attaches great importance to this cooperation and regards it as a new stage of international development and innovation, and looks forward to the early promotion of concrete cooperation matters.

Dean Tao noted that the meeting with the NYFA was the first cooperation meeting of IC in 2023. He said IC has always been committed to cooperating with more high-quality universities to provide students with high-quality opportunities for further study. After listening to the introduction of NYFA in terms of major settings and talent training, he congratulated NYFA for becoming a first-class academic institution in the field after more than 30 years of operation, and pointed out that its major settings and curriculum arrangement have obvious advantages in cooperation with IC. In addition, NYFA is located in the economic, technological and cultural centers such as New York and Los Angeles, which has a strong attraction for students. Dean Tao is full of confidence in bilateral cooperation and looks forward to the early implementation of specific cooperation matters. He sent New Year's greetings to the participants and thanked Consul Gao Xing again for his efforts and help in bring two sides together.

Both sides agreed to implement the cooperation as soon as possible after the meeting.
